RenderPoints are the currency you pay all your renderings in at Sky Render. We measure the rendering power in GHzh (CPU) or OBh (GPU) at the render farm and debit the appropriate amount of 'SkyPoints' from your account. You have to purchase SkyPoints before you can start a render job. To purchase SkyPoints log in to your account and navigate to 'Buy'.

At Sky Render Farm, we use a practical and straightforward method to calculate rendering time and associated costs. Specifically, we measure rendering in GHz hours. For instance, if one CPU with 1 core and 1 GHz renders for 1 hour, that equals 1 GHz hour. This system allows for precise and predictable billing, so you always know what to expect for your project's cost.

Please see our Supported Software page for further information. Sky Render supports all major plugins, although a complete list would be lengthy and difficult to maintain. To simplify this, the Sky Render Desktop software will automatically check your scene and alert you with an error message if unsupported plugins are detected by our render farm. If this happens, please contact our support team for immediate assistance.

That's the big question that no one can answer for sure. Since Sky Render system doesn't know exactly all details of your scene we can't give an accurate quote in advance.
Rendering is a step by step process and lots of little things like displacement, scene size, particles, fur and much more can affect the rendering process. While your job renders, we update the job cost in real-time, so that you can see the cost situation live. This gives you a good estimation of your rendering costs. You can also get a fast and rough cost overview with the online CostCalculator of our render farm. Type in your PC details (Octane benchmark score or Cpu details) and your render time per image. If you do not know the time yet make the best guess. If an image takes 2min 44sec to load on your PC, enter 3 minutes instead to have a buffer in the estimated time to load the scene.
Since the CostCalculator of the render farm only gives you a rough estimation, always send at least 2-3 test frames to verify the render time and costs.
